How to Combine Keywords and Filters in Search
Double your search power for more targeted results, so you can find exactly what you're looking for
You asked for it! Now you can combine our filtering and search capabilities to create a much more exact search experience on Houzz. Until recently, when searching photos or products on Houzz, you had to choose between using filters (Style, Space and Metro Area) or searching by entering text in the search box. Now, you can use both filters and a keyword search for better results than ever before.
Here's how.

Photos & Products
The Photos page on Houzz has filters on the left-hand side for Style, Space and Metro Area to help find the kind of photos you are looking for.
You can use any of these filters or combine all three to narrow your results.

Here I have used the Style and Space filters to look for modern living rooms, resulting in almost 9,000 photos to browse.
If I am looking for something more specific, I can enter keywords in the search box found at the top of the page to search within my filtered results.
In this case, I am looking for sofas that are found in modern living rooms. The result is a smaller, more specific set of search results showing exactly what I'm looking for.

The Products page has a similar set of filters: Styles and Products. Combining those filters with the search box found at the top of the page, you can find what you're looking for quickly and easily.
