Master bedroom. Tate designed the wall to accommodate one of the owners’ favorite art pieces. It is an old gilded wood carving, and if you look closely you can see that it is composed of separate planks. He used the same stacked natural stone behind the headboard that he used on the exterior.

Maintain the modern. A pair of drapes mounted on a rod above the window would have changed the whole vibe of this bedroom, giving it a more old-fashioned mood. As it stands, the ceiling-mounted system offers all the softness of curtains in a modern, clean way.
