Guest Picks: Tween Boy's Room
I love this graphic and gray duvet for a boy’s room.
A military blanket makes this room tough!
This throw pillow is a fun way to add a monogram.
I like this simple light for above the bed. I hope it will encourage reading before falling asleep.
Because this room already has a lot of neutrals, some color on the floor will help brighten things up. The subtle pattern in this rug is awesome too.
Boys are messy — at least mine are. With a slipcovered chair, you can throw the slipcover in the wash for easy cleaning.
The room will also need some major storage. Don’t look at how everything is just thrown in the drawers, just be glad it isn’t on the floor!
I love the locker-style, industrial look for boys. I think this desk is a great alternative for a nightstand.
This chair is so, so cool! I love the look.
No bells or frills on this lamp. Nope. Not for this room.
This is my pick for a bookcase. I like the industrial vibe, and it doesn’t feel like a heavy piece of furniture. Slide baskets in and out for concealed storage. Plus, it’s much easier to throw things in baskets than arrange it all on the shelves.
This may be more practical than fun, but a laundry hamper is necessary.
My son loves maps and globes, and so does my husband actually. I love that you can scratch off the places that you’ve been on this one.
I know, again with globes and maps. My son just loves them!
I love that this speaker doesn’t have to take up any desk space and that you can still prop things on top.
Because it is kind of cool to have a T-rex on your wall, right?
I would love a couple of these on the wall. Hanging things on hooks is so much easier than getting out those hangers.
I don’t know a boy who doesn’t have a hoop in his room.Next: Cool Items for a Teenage Boy’s Bathroom
This bed frame is corduroy. I love the texture it would bring to a room. I also love that the frame is upholstered and that there’s no need for a fussy bed skirt.
