Going Mini in your Home: Mini Bar, Mini Library, Mini Spa and More
One of the things that we have to be very conscious of here in San Francisco is space. I'm lucky to have snagged a fairly large apartment but most people here are forced to fit their design aesthetic into tiny areas. One of the easiest ways to do that is to scale down your ideas into miniature versions of what you'd love to have if you had a bigger space.
For example, you might love to have a full bar in your kitchen. It's probably not going to happen in your average San Francisco home. However, you could turn a rolling cart, a shelf or even a closet into a mini bar.
Likewise, it's not too common for people here to renovate their bathrooms to include full whirlpool spas. However it's simple to make a few small changes to your bathroom to create a mini-spa getaway in your own home.
There's no reason that you have to give up your design dreams just because you're dealing with a smaller amount of space than you would like to have. You just need to tweak, just and make it mini to make it work in your home!

You don't have to have a large bathroom like this one to create a mini spa in your home. What you do need are the little touches that you see here - candles, a basket of luxurious soaps, a plush robe and slippers. Even the smallest bathroom can be a miniature slice of heaven if you take time to make it one.
Let's say that you actually have a little bit of money to spend. You have some outdoor space but not enough for the big swimming pool you would love to have. Everyone says just to get a hot tub for your yard but you really want a pool. A mini-pool might be the answer!
