Guest Picks: Unique Throw Pillows
I am now over two years past moving into my fixer-upper house, and the list of to-do projects is impressively long. Think major rooms, like bathrooms and basement and laundry left to do, let alone painting and decorating.
However, when the list is so long, I retreat to something easy, manageable and budget-friendly, such as changing the look of a room with throw pillows. If only every home decorating challenge was as easy and affordable! And this is especially useful for the commitment-phobic (which in part explains our slow renovation). This is a collection of slightly less than traditional throw pillows, a fraction of the eclectic looks available.

I can't stop staring at this pillow, it's so very hypnotic — I'm feeling sleepy.
Thomas Paul Violet Perch Linen Pillow - $100
The site has so many throw pillows that it proved nearly impossible to choose just a couple to feature. This beautiful pillow is by textile designer Thomas Paul.

Everything about this pillow — the hooked wool, the colors, the coral — reminds me of my grandparents' house at the shore when I was a child.

For an eclectic choice of pillow (think French toast and foxes) try this shop. This retro-feeling rocket ship pillow is an ode to one of the employees.

Colorful Swirl Photo-Printed Throw Pillow - $29.95
Whoa, dude. Can you believe this is from Plow and Hearth? It's totally psychedelic.
Lilly Pulitzer® Turtle Cove Pillow Cover - $78
This is my grandmother — Lily Pulitzer, turtle, round, piping, perfect.
ELLE ELEPHANT PILLOW - $49.95
I'm guessing these are for kids' rooms, but I would put a panda, elephant, cat or fox on my couch without thinking twice.
