Green Bathroom Tile
The title explains it all! I stayed in a hotel in Prague last year where the Kelly green tiles in the bathroom were totally unexpected and so vibrant that I've been rather obsessed with the idea ever since.
My first experience with Kelly green tile in the bathroom. I dug it!
This was also the Hotel Andel in Prague; It's the lobby bathroom. I loved the glossy kelly green with the crisp white sinks and shiny faucets. Even the soap dispensers were appropriate.
How fabulous is this alcove/window/tub combo? I'd like to lie back in there for a soak while staring at the beautifully tiled arched ceiling!
Welcome to the Jungle! Or is it a rainforest? Whatever it is, me likey.
The tile has an almost translucent quality, just like those shelves.
I used this in my "The Blue Tile" ideabook as well; I can't quite determine if the tiles are pale green or pale blue. Either way, I love the color and the geometry.
Makes me nostalgic for kindergarten. This is really easy to do, but unexpected and rare; buying two colors and creating stripes.
Holy "Bring the outdoors in!" I usually find that to be a cringe-inducing design cliche, but here it's true. The shades of green in the tile help the transition from indoors to out.
Love the whole sunken shower thing. You can tell this architect really thought about passage and entry.
The green tiles are framed as works of art by black tile. The graphic result recalls the fabulous days of art deco, but it's modern. Very clever!
What a lovely shade of green! I want to re-style that storage shelf, maybe put "Loni Anderson, My Life in High Heels," the ultimate tub-read, in there...
I love that shower!
