The Blue Tile
Blue Tile in Bathrooms. It's fun to see this color in a range of different sizes and shapes, in a range of different bathroom spaces (though I'll admit, they are mostly modern), and used in different parts of the room (shower interior, floor, backsplash, etc .). Clearly from how often I used some version of the word "serene," I'm desperately seeking serenity in the bathroom!
what i like about this space is...that it is so serene. I love the long rectangles of the tile with the perpendicular long rectangluar tub and counter! The tiles add just the right amount of color to the otherwise neutral space.
what i like about this space is...I can't even tell if the tiles are pale blue, pale green, or a clear/white glass that is picking up a reflection. They are lovely, modern, and calm.
what i like about this space is...Where to start? I like to feel like I'm truly underwater when I'm in the shower. I like the recessed shampoo shelf and that it's a deeper blue. I love the mosaic in general. My only worry would be Peeping Toms...
what i like about this space is...the two tone play on the floor makes me nostalgic for elementary school.
what i like about this space is...Wow! The geometry is beautiful. I like the negative space shapes between the tiles. The color is very serene, and the fixtures complement it perfectly.
what i like about this space is...Serenity Now! Serenity Now!
what i like about this space is...it's American Psycho neat yet beautiful. It's the kind of bathroom you want to enter in your robe and spa shoes after a massage.
what i like about this space is... the way these tiles dance. Plus, I'm a sucker for tiny tiles and showers that make me feel like I'm underwater!
what i like about this space is...it is so glossy! I love the way the tiles reflect light. the size and shape are very pleasing as well; you don't often see that shape cover an entire wall, much less more than one wall. In this case, more is more!
what i like about this space is... I am simply obsessed with this bathroom. I like that they went hog wild with the tile and put it on almost every wall.
The blue tile seems vintage or handmade. I love the variety of shades within the tiles.
