10 Faves: Designer Jeff Andrews
Interior designer to the stars Jeff Andrews reveals his top 10 choices in getaways, entertainment and products for the home
Designer Jeff Andrews in Los Angeles is known for his casual and playful but glamorous and sophisticated interiors. With a client list that includes the Kardashians and Ryan Seacrest, he has learned to balance luxury with a more casual California style. Here, he lets us in on some of his favorite things.
2. Do you have a favorite hotel?
The Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris is the ultimate destination because of its classic, traditional design. It’s in one of Paris’ best areas, right off of the Champs-Elysees, with an amazing Michelin-star restaurant, Le Cinq — all in all a true Parisian landmark.
3. Where do you go to relax?
Palm Springs is perfect for a quick, relaxing getaway, and I love all the vintage shopping.
4. Any favorite tourist spots in Los Angeles?
I love shopping at all the flagship designer stores on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, but it’s also great for people watching. From tourists to celebs to the ridiculously fancy, Rodeo is glam with a splash of humor.

5. What's the one item in your closet you'll never get sick of?
One of my clients gave me a Gucci leather jacket while I was working on his project in Rome. At this point I call it vintage. It’s so soft, comfortable and worn-in. Fits like a glove. When I wear it I feel very Italian chic.
6. Any must-read books on your nightstand?
Wisecracker, about the life of William Haines, is a biography of one of the greatest American decorators who ever lived. His fascinating and inspiring career started when he was a silent film star who later reinvented himself into a decorator, designing for some of Hollywood’s most elite. I couldn’t put it down.
7. What recent movie has become one of your favorites?
The Descendants was fantastic.

8. Have you fallen in love with any new home product lines lately?
I love the timeless quality of the Chatham bath accessories collection from Waterworks. Made of simple white porcelain in organic shapes, they’re the perfect accessories to work in any style of bathroom.
9. What do you love most about your current home?
My bed — it’s my refuge. But I’m in the process of buying a new house, so I’m sure I will have a different favorite soon. Stay tuned.
10. Do you have a favorite comfort food you like to whip up at home?
Turkey meatloaf. I took my grandma’s recipe and made it healthy by substituting turkey for ground beef. It tastes just as good as Grandma’s with the same comfort-food appeal. Every person I’ve given the recipe to loves it.
