Soft lines, extra-large dimensions, modular styles and sustainability were on display at the recent Milan Furniture Fair
The 62nd edition of Milan‘s annual furniture trade fair, the Salone del Mobile — a hub of experimentation and fusion — brought together more than 185 brands and 1,950 exhibitors from 35 countries. The trends we‘ve been seeing over recent months were cemented and developed. Extra-large items have gained even more generous dimensions, while sofas feature soft, rounded lines that radiate relaxation. Furniture has become a playful interplay of shapes and components, where boundaries are blurred and styles continue to influence one another.
Sustainability is also something that all companies are focusing on. In addition to natural, eco-compatible, recycled materials sourced from certified supply chains, we see a growing pull toward conscious production processes and a preference for modular configurations that can be easily transported.
