Back to Basics: Decorating with Primary Colors
One of the best — and most intimidating things — about color is the fact that the palette is literally infinite. But when you take away all the shades and hues, all the tertiary and secondary colors, all the ways you can mix and change and mute and brighten them, you're left with: the primaries. Red, blue and yellow. In the end, they seem like just three of the millions and millions of options, but obviously their significance is much greater than that. And when red, yellow and blue are used in their most pure forms in decorating, I find it refreshing, clean and even a little playful in many cases.
So many offices are in safe shades of neutral. I like the stimulating feel these vivid blue walls create.
