Although some builders prefer cabinets and trim to be done before the flooring, I prefer the floor first in all cases but a floating floor. Sand, stain, and at least one finish topcoat for a site finished product. Then the cabinets are installed, minus the toe kick. After the floor is fully finished with the last finish coats, then the toe kick and trim moldings can be done. Yes, it extends the timeline and adds a bit more labor. But the end result is better.
