Guest Picks: Tidy Kitchens
If you’re like me, you have a few too many resolutions and need a little more willpower to accomplish them. I want to keep a clean, organized house this year, and the place I want to start is the kitchen. It’s the central space where my family and I spend our time, whether we’re cooking food or socializing with the cooks. When the kitchen is organized and sparkling, I feel like I can tackle the rest of the house. Here are some products designed to make your (and my) goal of keeping a tidy kitchen just a little bit easier. — Mariko from The Little Foodie

Forever Stackable Canister - $44
Colorful and playful perfect stacking containers will improve the limited space on your counter.
Nest 100: Stainless Bowl Set - $100
This set of stackable nesting bowls, sieve, colander and measuring cups makes finding everything you need for that baking session so simple. It’s also just a good looking set.
Recycled-Glass Stacking Bottles - $19
Now that I’ve discovered stacking, I can’t stop. These bottles are so charming.
Mini Beaker Measuring 4-Piece Set - $9.99
I’m not sure why this is the first time I’ve seen a liquid measuring cup for small amounts of liquids. Did I mention that they’re stackable too?
Menu Stackable Oven Dishes - $35
I tend to stack several dishes haphazardly and hope for the best when I close the doors. These will help “the best” happen more often.
Deluxe Chrome Canned Food Storage Rack - $39.99
Until I have a walk-in pantry, I need a better system for my canned foods. This rack fits into a cupboard space and makes it so much easier for me to grab what I need.
FoodPod - $15
The FoodPod is an all-in-one cooking basket for boiling or steaming your food, and easily blanching and draining. It cuts down on dishes and saves you time.
Karkulaiset Bibs, Set of 2 - $38.50
Bibs may not keep your kitchen clean, but they do give you a little less to clean up. Too bad you can’t put a bib on everything.
A Tempo Dish Drainer - $122
My mother refuses to leave her dish drainer on the counter because it is so unsightly. This one is practically a piece of sculpture. I also like the compact shape for a small load.
Rubbermaid Pull-Down Cabinet Spice Rack - $35.39
This pull-down organizer would help me locate the exact spice I want, now! I usually have to pull out several one by one and navigate dominoes spice bottles.
Better Housewares 2480 Wall-Mounted 3-Arm Bamboo Towel Bar - $18.02
I usually need more than one kitchen towel and don’t have enough places to hang them to dry. Problem solved.
Bakers & Chef's Bakers & Chefs Bar Mops, Set of 24 - $17.03
Some towels are there for decorative purposes and some o actually do the work. Bar mops are way more effective at cleaning up spills and messes than any of your pretty towels.
I have wanted to store my pots and pans like this forever. Instead of fighting a messy stack in the cupboard, just lift one easily off the wall.
Basket, Powder Coat Chrome - $4.75
Or use that pegboard to hang these wire baskets for room-temperature fruits and vegetables.
Real Simple 4-Way Expandable Cutlery Tray - $19.99
I can’t find enough silverware trays that acknowledge the fact that I have more utensils and small tools than just spoons, forks and knives. Finally, this one won’t make me dig around the sides to find my tiny whisk.
Gentle Spaghetti Scrubbers, Set of 2 - $10
Gentle and natural scrubbers made with peach pits are great for wooden cutting boards or butcher block counters.
Universal Expert Suction Sink Caddy - $30
I tend to clutter the edges of my sink with cleaning supplies. This caddy can go inside the sink, stick to the wall and blend in too. I would much rather store my sponges and cleaning tools out of view in something like this.
Brendan Ravenhill Dustbin, Red - $99
I love this bin. Both the dustpan and brush are attach right to it, making the set just one less part of the kitchen clutter.
Industrial Kitchen Island - $499
I’m ecstatic about the width of this kitchen island. It’s useful but also not necessarily a central part of the kitchen space. The shelves give you some room for storage as well.
Natural Acacia Wood Honeycomb Utensil Vase or Wine Caddy - $31
The detail on this mango wood utensil vase is beautiful. I would be happy to display my spatulas in it.
