get the countertops installed, walls painted, and then come back for backsplash tile advice. you should always wait to see how the countertops look.
we can also help you w/new hardware and paint choices if you like
Here's the Arabescato. if you like it, maybe you want to have it continue as the splash?
(if you opt for this, make SURE you get a template of how they are going to cut and line up the veining, prior to them cutting your slab. You must sign off it first. see the veining to the right of the vent hood and how it lines up w/the veining on the countertop? this is a nice fabrication. depending on the amount you need, you could do one or two slabs)
same quartz w/a gray subway tile. I like this hardware style (you can still do nickel, I just like the closed handle look)
these are nice pulls. I even like the gold w/your wood
and here's the Bettoglio
This one is very simple. if you choose this option, then I would choose a backsplash w/more personality than a white subway tile. otherwise, very ho-hum-looking!
if you are on a budget, I'd recommend removing the current splash yourself. You will save quite a bit by doing it. You can ask the people who will be installing your new countertops if removal of the old granite is included in their install price. (sometimes it isn't) If not, ask them how much. if they tell you a few hundred for removal and disposal, you guys can easily remove it in 5-10 mins. disposing may take numerous trips w/your trashcans (since they make it very heavy for trash removal to haul. what I did when we did ours was to meet the trash truck at the curb and ask if I could toss everything in his bucket! I had it sitting out by the curb so it was easy just to toss it in. He didn't have a problem with it. saves you a trip to the dump)
I'd also look into getting some bulbs in the 4000K range. See how yellow your lighting looks here? it will affect any color you bring into the kitchen. a 4000K bulb is perfect for the kitchen.
This is TajMajal quartzite. excellent choice for wood cabinets. paired w/the gold hardware and your wood floors, this would be very pretty.
This would be stunning w/your wood cabs. the gold hardware, the Taj quartzite (shown here w/Ann Sacks tile). this tile is super expensive, but you could find a look-alike.
If you want a white subway tile, you could do something like this
If you go w/the plain white countertop choice, and you like the sage color, I'd pick it for a backsplash like this Newport tile. how nice the gold looks w/it and your wood?
here's a white quartz w/Cloe tile and gold hardware
