The right side with porch emulates the more natural French Country style. The 2 story on the left is more formal and emulates the French Provincial style. Realize that with these French styles they began as interpretations of an inspiration, taking design elements and having them on a much lesser scale. So Versailles inspires "Provincial," which takes some of the stateliness to more rural areas, and "Country" is a lesser take on that but congregated in a certain region. The Americanized version of "Country" focuses more on the "rustic" side of both styles, but really just takes any and all elements considered aesthetically pleasing that can be applied to the confines of a suburban house.
So if you want to be 100% correct to a style named "French Country," study rural houses in the Provence region. You will find your plan does not fit the style, nor if you have a suburban U.S. house you probably cannot be perfectly true to it.
