I'm sorry, just saw this. No mildew problems at all (ceiling is painted), that room is the length of the tub and also has a toilet (so about 6x8); we have a Panasonic nightlight/light/fan on a timer (15-30-60-90 time choices). Its great not to have to remember to turn the fan off. Its quiet and really moves air, 90 CFM.
We didn't use the optional edge pieces but Choreograph makes specific corner pieces for the inside corners, and caulk is put inside the grooves before the panels are pushed into the corners.
Its very easy to keep clean. The choreograph has the barre with teak tray (different lengths available); they also have metal shelves that can be installed; these can go pretty much anywhere you want (we forgot to put blocking behind the wall for a shelf on the far end of the shower, so we omitted it). I was torn about putting a lot of shelving in there (there is also the edge of the tub); my thinking was the more "shelf" type space to set stuff, the more my two kids would pile up the conditioners, shampoos, etc.
Choreograph also has the vertical storage shelves that can be integrated (they would fit between studs) but we didn't try those.
I just got a sample of the brick textured choreograph and it looks nice, but was shipped so late (ordered in April, arrived yesterday); we're doing another bath starting Monday and for that one, we are trying a Kohler cast iron shower pan and swanstone walls (Swanstone colorant runs through the material, whereas I realized the non-white Choreograph, while I liked the color/pattern, the pattern was only on the surface and that was worrisome).
Hope that helps!
