A few points on upholstery fabric: Look to see what the manufacturer lists as the double-rubs. If it's over 15,000, then it's considered heavy duty and suitable for commercial applications.
-The pattern and nap of that fabric should wear nicely and be very forgiving to most "dirt".
-100% polyester is really hot to sit on, so the blend that you list above is perfect. In warmer climates, like here in AZ, it means sweaty legs. :-(
-The other test is to hold it up at the light and see if you can see through it. If you can, it may not be durable enough, even though it's offered by a furniture manufacturer. Thin fabrics tend to show the foam and other components of a piece of furniture. It's like wearing a really lightweight dress- it will show everything. In the picture, you can see where each of the three pieces of foam come together. The manufacturer did correct this issue, but it was a pain to deal with. The fabric we used was just a tad thinner than most and in that light, it just wasn't nice.
