We are currently remodeling our kitchen, and when this question came up, I noticed that the fully integrated version of the SZ fridge has a little less usable volume than the built-in version. That's not surprising, as the door sticks out a little more for the latter.
This was fine by us, as we have fully custom-built cabinets that are extra deep (30" instead of 24"). We love the extra counter space, but of course most appliances don't really make full use of it. Our cabinet builder is confident that he'll be able to recess the fridge a little further and that the built-in will look very similar to a fully integrated that way. And we certainly don't mind the extra storage space that we gain -- even if it isn't much.
Can't tell you how well this will work just yet, as we haven't finished the remodel at this point.
