You have beautiful furnishings…and I love the chair grouping in the living room…great for conversation. Agree, some tweaking is needed. So living room first…Sounds like the piano is not being played so this option removes it… Center the rug, place 2 chairs on each side of the cocktail table. Set the table lamp aside at this point. Move the end table with its lidded pot and dish/holder between the chairs on the left side. It would be nice to have another brass pharmacy lamp behind the other chair on that side. Now for the other side…place the small chinoiserie cabinet between those chairs with the table lamp on it and the mirror centered above it. Bring the smaller framed art from the dining room and place it on the right, opposite the current art on the left side. Place the low red dish from the dining room cabinet on the cocktail table. Then to the dining room…the rug size may be the biggest it can be for that space. Is there a leaf in the table that could be removed/stored? If not, just push the arm chairs in a bit and move the side chairs a little closer. Move the runner to the side board cabinets. Place one blue/white vase in center of table and the other grouping of three in the middle of the side board. The mirrored cabinet with your miniature pottery needs its own space. Is there a small wall in the dining room…opposite either the dining room window or the side board cabinets…where that could work? Hopefully, the remaining items could be used in other places in your home.
