I have lived in this house for 15 years. Two years ago, the pulsing sound began. Nothing had changed in, nor immediately around the house. The sound stopped entirely for 7 days, 7 months after it had begun. That was the only time it has stopped. The pulsing vibrating sound continues 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, unabated, even with all power off.
There is no WiFi connection to the house. There are no major appliances. It is not due to tinnitus. I have pulsing tinnitus. It is not that. (And, frankly, I'm sick of hearing people reporting that the sound pulsing is due to tinnitus, almost as sick of anyone writing about THE HUM). Everything here is analog - even the computer is connected via landline - and the electric meter is also analog - no "smart" meter. And as to 5G conspiracy theorists - there is no 5G anywhere around here. The electric company has checked all lines. Plumbing checked.
And I am also tired of hearing about people's bedrooms having the sound, as this is pervasive. There is no sanctuary from it. It is also not like a diesel truck running, nor a train, nor a water pump, nor anything like those things.
I have heard this sound in only two other places, and one was approximately 4 miles away, and outside, (I do hear it outside my home on occasion), and the other was 20 miles away.
Countless times, I have had to flee from home due to spikes in intensity that made me severely nauseated. (By the way, the one time the sound pulsing stopped for the 7 days, there were no new variables). I have noticed that the pulsing sound changed a few months ago, so that it usually doesn't make me actively physically ill, but it persists. The sound pulsing also now seems to worsen on Friday evenings through Sunday, but being battered by this for two years, my observations are now rather shot.
I am sorry that I feel this way, but I have to agree that if someone does know the source, they are not going to own up to it - and I'm talking city and state officials - and even private businesses, because it might cost them money to fix it, not because it's a "conspiracy."
I have again sworn to get attention brought to this issue, but, as others have stated, the would need to be some scientific tool to do it, and I have done enough research to know that such a tool does not exist. If moving was even remotely an option, I would have done so.
I do have some sympathy for the conspiracy theorists, and must state that, as, again, any fix would cost someone quite a bit. But it pisses me off, both that I have not gone very public about the sound pulsing problem, and that for certain, anyone making claims like this is considered certifiably nuts, which is the easy way out. If I used the usual types of social media, this would be the only reason I would have for doing so.
The closest I have been able to come to a description of the type of sound pulsing this is, is a big stage amp that is improperly connected - but even in that circumstance, the sound does not pulse. The sound is always the same note. but when I attempt to identify the note, it makes me too ill because I am then over-attending to this wretched sound pulsing vibration.
