I get OP's point, but too much stuff and you can't find anything. I dream of tidy counters if you can easily get to everything you need. To expand on the old "a place for everything" adage, I suggest "A place for everything right where you use it, and everything in its place." IOW organizers for cleaning supplies at/near the washup sink, knives/cutting board organizers at the prep station, spice and utensil organizers where you cook.
I've also discovered a corollary to the above adage: never put things down, put things away. Never make a mess, never clean a mess. We recently downsized, and it's frustrating when you don't have a place for everything, as my corollary is then impossible to achieve!
