Introducing Houzz Pro Teams for Streamlined Project Management
Residential construction professionals can keep team members and subcontractors informed and on track with this new tool
Building and remodeling professionals need to be able to work seamlessly with employees, subcontractors and other team members to manage projects successfully and run their companies well. To help pros handle this key business need, Houzz has introduced Teams, a premium collaboration tool on Houzz Pro, the all-in-one business management and marketing software.
Teams enables pros to collaborate with employees and subcontractors on one dashboard. Everyone can stay on track and on the same page with tools that include project timelines, assignable tasks and daily logs. Teams is available to construction professionals with a Houzz Pro subscription and can be used on the web or in the Houzz Pro app.

Assign Roles and Permissions to Employees
Within Teams, pros can set specific clearances for employees, granting them role-based or project-based permissions that enable them to view or add to project timelines, files, communications and more.
For example, marketing team members might be given access to a company’s leads and estimates, while an employee working on a remodeling job might be granted permission to view and collaborate on all aspects of that project.
Once pros have selected the roles and permissions they want for their team members, they can send an invitation to each collaborator to join them on Houzz Pro. Pros can invite a specific number of employees, depending on their Houzz Pro plan.

Invite Subcontractors to Collaborate on Projects
The new tool also allows pros to invite an unlimited number of subcontractors, including painters, electricians, plumbers or other specialty professionals who are not part of the internal team, to collaborate with them on projects using Houzz Pro.
Pros can grant subs access to specific projects, giving them permission to view project schedules, documents and updates from a shared dashboard that helps them stay up to date and on track. Subcontractors can toggle between the different teams they’re a part of, working across all projects seamlessly.
Subcontractors who aren’t on Houzz Pro will need to sign up for an account to accept an invitation from a pro to join a project. They can sign up for the subcontractor version at no cost.

Keep Everyone Up to Date With Timelines
On Houzz Pro, team members and subcontractors can access individual project timelines in Gantt bar chart and calendar form to stay on track and aware of when their work is scheduled. Employees can make edits to the timeline if the project owner grants them permission; subcontractors are only able to view it.

Assign Tasks to Team Members
Pros can assign specific project tasks to team members that are then added to the project timeline.

Track Project Status With Daily Logs
Houzz Pro Daily Logs enables pros to track and share the progress of projects with clients. They can keep customers updated with project status, job site photos and time-sensitive approval reminders.
With the Teams tool, team members and subs can add their own daily logs to a project. For example, a tile installer could upload progress shots of a bathroom remodel they’re working on or a painter could add notes about rainy conditions that resulted in a project delay. The account owner can view, edit and share these logs with the client as they choose.
