another top 5 for me its this kitchen. able to afford no to little upper cabinets because of the floor to ceiling cabinets. blue/gold/white wood. FLOOR: Im not sold on the floor. I think it works but we have concrete and I would like to do wood stamped. LIGHTING: depending on the style of kitchen we go with, these Edison bulbs reminded me I havent mentioned it. 3 kinds of lighting styles i love ... 1) Edison bulbs 2) Chandeliers 3) colorful glass... I dont know what else to call them. we plan on can lights, such as pictured in... everything haha! and rope lights if we need in cabinets or under cabinets. with a 16.5 foot wall with 5- 3x5 windows we should have plenty natural light.
probably my top 5 favorite kitchens. blue and yellow were my wedding colors for a reason. but honestly I love all colors! but when it comes to kitchens it just WORKS! I would love to have a simple kitchen like this... one walkway.. im not sure how conducive this is for multiple users though and the stove wall would most likely end up being opened up as to not create a hallway.. I just dont see this working in our available space. but i still love this style
I know this is completely different then my others I've shared, but sometimes I feel like I need to reel it back in HAHA! I've been designing this kitchen/house for 7 years! its went through many renovations in my head, and in the begining started out as like an 8 x 10 room with a small butlers style pantry. so the thing I love about this kitchen is the multiple work triangles set up in such a small area. the simple prep area with that beautiful painting! ... (or TV?... ) anyways this just reminds me, that bigger isnt always better. sorry if its just TMI :D
this style of kitchen seating is probably my absolute favorites. it can be so versatile. move the table and add more chairs for a book study. breakfast, afternoon tea, card games. everything is also easy to get to. pull the table away easily and sweep. I also feel like the bench is more inviting to adults, not just kids because its more roomy than what a full C shaped would allow.
style! this kitchen exudes elegance. its a treat for me. its Kitchen Kandy. ok.. and I wonder what she uses those handy (I assume spice?) draws for... that being said, there are 2 things this photo reminds me of, that I dont like.. 1) big. huge. islands. I love running my hands over a clean counter top. and seeing the clean! i do not like countertops that can 'hide dirt'. if I find a spot that is unclean, I tend to clean the whole thing! I've seen some huge islands and my mind just goes to, man that center would become a collection spot of "pretties" and cleaning it looks like a pain. anyway. 2) that beautiful china hutch/bar. I cant really tell what it is. but its reminiscent for me of like double wides and modular homes trying to be fancier and they just end up being a collection spot. I dont need more collection spots in my life, but purposeful spaces .
seriously!!! where do I start with this one!? ?? This is the kitchen that ran away with my heart!balance of white and this beautiful wood! the glass doors with the X detail and arch! the BRICK! then there's something about those thick beautiful arched wood it the end of the island that grounds it all. its modern with character. and rustic and clean... I could go on.. I cant think of a single thing I do not like about this kitchen and I have studied it!? and oh my! the before!? you GO GIRL! ??
who doesnt love this kitchen!? gold details is one of may favorites and bound to come up again. I do love black trim window, but if course our existing home has white... my current kitchen plan is actually very similar to this layout. a very large (4-6 foot?) sink is in the middle of the far wall which is 16.5 feet. and its all windows. no cabinets. smaller sink across. stove on the wall to the right. fridge possibly to the left.
brick/stove aceept our stove would fill the area
