Guest Picks: Leopard Prints to Pounce On

Like animal prints, but in certain application, chair, bench, rug, pillows, coat....with furry animal print, or snake print on box, hard furniture, in other words somewhere you would use a real, valuable skin (I don't propagate killing animals!!!), Perhaps it's too literal, but to everyone it's own. Looks right to me 1-2 things in the room, just to have this "punch" in decor. I saw once home office with "zebra" everywhere, seems except walls, terrible.

I've always loved all animal prints and leopard is my favorite. If you think about it, animal prints are actually neutrals. Very cool neutrals that you can add any color to and it always looks good. I used to have a leopard print stair runner on my wood stairs in an old New Orleans house and it looked fabulous. Right now I have a leopard rug bordered with burgundy and gold in my cat room, and I have a leopard chaise in the living room. I have those same leopard sheets in this article from Ballard designs and I have a tiger striped rug in my library with a lot of dark wood. As far as clothes, I usually just do a coat or boots/shoes. I have 4 different leopard print coats. Great article.

Love animal print of all shades and styles! I recently started reupholstering and did two arm chairs in a leopard print. My husband was a bit skeptical, but agreed to see what it would look like. I really like the way it looks in my living room. I know that eventually I'll end up moving one chair to my bedroom, a lot of print in one room can overwhelm. But for now, I'm just enjoying.
