“There was a devastating fire this past summer in the area where we usually cut our Christmas trees,” Kim Gasson writes. “This little tree was singed and a bit scorched. When we put it up, our living room smelled a bit like a campfire instead of freshly cut spruce. It’s trying valiantly to hold on to its needles. We figured it was the perfect comment on this past year of 2020.”
