Emily's Ideas
With mods this is a good plan and fairly unusual. Pretty elevations.

With some changes, I love this plan. Looks like 3100+ sq ft though.

All about kitchens
This room is 9x6'6"
Looks like roughly 8x5'6 or 8x8 behind the kitchen. The exterior door is to the left in the photo, and there are cubbies/lockers along the wall.
This is the back of a remodeled colonial, and in many ways superior to the front. I like the look of the longer windows on the bottom/french doors perhaps. Not unlike the home alone house with its paired narrow french doors on the front.
The kitchen is roughly 22'-8" X 14'-5" with an island that is roughly 9'-9" x 4'-2". There is a center support due to weight. The kitchen sink cabinets on either side are 2'2".
The kitchen is roughly 22'-8" X 14'-5" and opens nicely into the family room. With a central island, the traffic patterns works well for this growing family. When someone is cooking at the back, kids and guest can still come and go from the mudroom door at the left to the main portion of the house to the right arched doorway without disturbing the cook. To the left behind the sofa is the breakfast area. To the right of the photo is a butlers pantry and dining room.
