Wallpaper
I know this is rude but...a designer did this on purpose and was paid for it? I think it wins the award for truly hideous. That the designer displayed this on Houzz, with a measure of Pride? OMG. The paper is lovely, it's placement, everything above/below/next to it is utterly unrelated and there is no concept, no nothing.
I like it when wallpaper doesn't keep repeating a few images but disperses the elements a bit more...or at least tries to hide the repeating parts a bit.
So retro! As a Mid-Century Modern Fan (HUGE), I am swooning...I have my lottery ticket.
I don't care how famous you are or who your decorator is and how glorious the artist is who made this magnificent paper, if you buy it and hide it you are a fool. The point of paper is to create a feeling, a mood, surprise/shock or just add some beauty. This lovely paper is lost behind all the clutter. Wasted. IMHO.
Wallpaper is a bit dizzying but love the idea of just one wall sconce, a bit unusual but it simply works.
Peony wallpaper - asked decorator about where to get it...probably a painted mural (boo hoo).
Wonderful
Very Japanese, serene, nice in a bedroom
nicely done
Fabulous idea, really but it just makes me want it in color. Still interesting, gutsy.
Could be nice but might also be too boring...not sure
Subtle, adds some depth
