What that graphic leaves out is that Corian and other “solid surface” materials that are the same material through-and-through can be repaired in place. Scratches can be buffed out, burns can be sanded off, and deep scratches, chips and chunks that may be made through rough treatment can be professionally repaired.
Have I not read, over and over, that placing a hot pot directly on the surface is also a risky move with stone counters?
