Fonfara Bathrooms
For the white tile in the jack and Jill at the tub surround - please lay out the tiles first to determine if you like a vertical stack (like shown here) or a horizontal stack - like the other picture in this idea book initially shown for Kat's bathroom....you will want to select the layout that best avoids sliver cuts in the corners
You can imagine this bathroom wall color could be almost anything and still look good. But also note how the strong contrast from shower pan white to dark floor makes this shower look distinctly 'separate'. In a bigger bathroom like this it works - it can technically also work for a smaller bath but it really makes the space look and feel bigger to have the pan and tile in the room be more coordinated.
showing this for reference of what I like to avoid with a shower pan/shower wall combo....this tile combination really forces the walls to be just this color and nothing else - you can probably imagine that any other color would look 'off'. So, for resale, if your hard finishes in the showers are more neutral and bright the wall color possibilities can be almost anything and still look good.
Don't forget - another reason to do a simple shower wall tile is in addition to paint color in the room - the shower curtain would be a place to add pattern/color/interest

They don’t have to be overly deep which is hard to keep clean. I’d say 15-18” max depth if you want towels. If you want baskets/more display type stuff then only 12” deep and the back of the cubby could be a pretty accent tile pattern.
