so this image intrigues me - I think you could consider a pergola that spans the fireplace seating area and that has a solid 'wall' element to it like you see on the left in this pic. That might be the place to do the TV. Wouldn't hurt to get your landscaper out to trouble shoot how this could be done.

Just trouble shooting pergola ideas for you - if you were to add one I'd say create a structure that spans over the fireplace area. Nothing that connects to the house.

This is probably a custom enclosure which a woodworker could do - I have a name if you'd like one. Would be tricky to make water proof but maybe ok for water resistant.

Wouldn't hurt to ask the retractable companies if they have ever done anything like this (but, probably has to be retracted when raining so probably defeats the point?)
