I think you have great stone work. The junipers should go. It will open up the view to the stone and the window. Depending on the amount of sunlight, you can get some low growing evergreen mix with interesting perennials, like sedum, Japanese Anemone, Stella D'oro day lilies and lady's mantle.
Creeping juniper could be used in the planter; maybe three.
I think in the planter with the spruce, you could do one simple low growing plant like this variegated boxwood.
