You have a remarkable collection of spinosissima roses. I wish I could visit it. I wonder if you have an idea what this yellow rose might be? It was labelled Maria Stuart in the Genetic Garden at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, a garden now gone. I sent cuttings of Maria Stuart to Peter Boyd years ago but I haven't heard from him after that. It may very well be a common variety but it's not known not in Sweden.
My favourite spinosissima was found in the city of Valdemarsvik and is now in commerce under that name. It has more petals than most white spinosissimas found in this country and is fairly low growing.
