The 2020 Q2 Houzz Renovation Barometer looks at residential renovation market expectations, project backlogs and recent business activity among firms in the construction and architectural and design services sectors
, based on responses from 2,055 small businesses on Houzz. The survey was fielded March 26 through April 8.
“There is an unprecedented consensus among professionals in the construction sector and architectural and design service sector around the nature of the impact of this pandemic. Over 4 in 5 firms across all renovation industries reported that COVID-19 has impacted their business,” Sargsyan said.
More specifically, firms report that the pandemic has affected project timelines and caused delays in shipment as well as permitting and inspections, according to Sargsyan.
