If you still need blackout shades, invest in some light-coloured ones-- trim or wall coloured. Then, if the width of the windows is still bothering you, Decide how wide you want the windows to look and mount an appropriately sized rod above each window so you can hang some wall-coloured drapes (a tone on tone damask, perhaps) to either side of the window. If you intend for the drapes to look good even when closed, you'll need two to three rod-widths of fabric to achieve an attractive fullness.
Btw, I suspect that the bed was meant to go between the 2 windows.
