you can plug in the under cabinet lights using your existing outlet.
(there's at least 100 diff types, so look around to see what works best for yours)
Make sure it's an LED with a temperature of 3500-4000K. (anything lower throws off yellow light). I have one similar to this that I plug in. bonus,,,the light itself has an outlet on it so that you won't have to unplug the light to use a toaster or blender. you would plug the appliance into the light outlet
(BTW, get some black outlet covers/outlets so that those white ones aren't so visible. they are simple to change yourself.)
I suppose you could keep your white outlets and just do the black covers, like shown here,,,but since your backsplash is completely black, I think the all black one would look better.
(i've read that you can paint them w/black chalk paint if you're not up to switching them. but really, the black ones are cheap)
