@Ann - It was 68 degrees in CT today. Next week it will be 18 and I'll get sick. The last time I had a sinus infection it took me 3 weeks before I felt 100%. I hope you're feeling better soon. The blue paint color in my bathroom is Farrow and Ball "Borrowed Light" . I'm not sure I would go with blue in your bath as your cabinet reads warm. Maybe a soft beige/taupe. Benjamin Moore "White Sand" is a lovey color that I think could work for you. Obviously you'd have to test it out. I was asking about your toilet as my favorite toilet has been reworked (I liked the old one better), and you can still get the old version but only in a round front. Are you sure you have enough clearance for an elongated bowl? Code usually requires 21 inches minimum from the end of the bowl to the wall. I was looking at the photos you posted and was counting the wall tiles to see if I could tell how much room you had. I assumed the tiles were 4 x 4 and it looked like you only had 20 inches or so with the current round front toilet. Of course, it was just a picture and I was making assumptions based on my eyes and your photo which could be totally incorrect. That being said, the toilet you selected (don't be mad) is very modern and I don't feel goes well with the transitional vibe of your new bath. My questions to you would be: do you actually have the clearance you need and how badly do you want/need an elongated bowl? I had all round bowls in my house (I put them in myself) and only recently changed them when I got the comfort height toilets (which I think are great). There are a few other elongated bowls the are imo more suited to your space. Three nice ones from Kohler measure the same 27.75, but are ridiculously expensive so forget those. Toto makes "the Drake", which measures 3/8 inch longer than the one you purchased (at 28 1/8) but has a simple clean vibe. I'm also going to look into the American Standard Compact Cadet which the specs say is 28.5 deep, but in doing research I found out that AS measures their toilets from the wall instead of the toilet itself (which all others do), so you can't compare the measurements between them accurately. I'm going to go to the plumbing supply house for my daughter and I'm going to check it out for both of you. Toto also has one at the same 27.75 that could work. https://www.homedepot.com/p/TOTO-Aquia-2-Piece-0-9-1-6-GPF-Dual-Flush-Elongated-Toilet-in-Cotton-White-CST412MF-01/300818364 but you may not like the push button flush. I am hoping that you will take my comments as a sincere effort to help make your room the best it can be and in keeping with your desire for a classic and timeless space. Measure you space to see how much room you have because you don't want to be crowded or feel claustrophobic. Below is a picture of my favorite toilet (the older version of the Toto Promenade). Can you believe I have a favorite toilet? I must have issues. Feel better.
