I don't have the Bosch range, but the Bosch cooktop and separate wall oven and I absolutely love them. In fact I had Bosch in my condo and decided for my house, I wanted Bosch again and I could have had anything.
Is induction really worth the trouble to upgrade?
OMG YES! LOL
Your kitchen doesn't heat up.
Cleanup consists of taking some windex and a paper towel to clean the cooktop surface.
The controls are even more precise than gas.
Say you want to cook rice. Boil the rice and then put it on a simmer. No changing hobs because the second you turn it down, it's simmer temperature. So no dried out rice or oatmeal for example.
Safer than gas.
If you're really lazy you can put paper towels or newspaper under your pans so if something like baking grease flies, it doesn't spatter on the cooktop and since the cooktop doesn't heat up, it's not a safety issue. But then again, see above about windex and paper towels.
Water boils in 90 seconds with the boost function.
You can melt chocolate on the cooktop without needing a pot with water underneath
If you drop food on the surface you can clean it up immediately since as mentioned the surface doesn't get hot. It will get warm if a pot is underneath, but it won't get hot.
No gas fumes.
Safer if you have kids or the elderly around.
