Buffet Next to Fridge
Shallow Cabs on left - molding separting upper/lower. Lower's not much deeper than top but enough difference to provide interest
Use darker color cabs for Shallow Cabs?
Molding detail under counter overhang, integrated leg and applied molding wrapped on side provides nice detail
Full glass Sliding doors? - but no open counter tho
Include charging drawer in Shallow Buffet or in “bookcases”
Shallow cabs - recessed? possible to recess into stairway wall to offer wider aisle clearance to island?
Wall of cabinets 12" deep, display on top with beadboard back and cab doors on bottom
Exposed Hinges creates more unique furniture piece
Hide Landline in Shallow Cabs - however like the look of a drawer at the base of the side full length cabs. Prob better not to locate behind a door cuz prob never close
This Back instead of beadboard - choose same as used for island sides
Good location for wine bottles but cabs prob will be too shallow, risk of opened bottles leaking
Shallow Cabs with center counter space and flanking hutch cabs-use toe kick for entire length for more foot space
12" shelf still good storage. Top separated from bottom with bullnose moulding or counter
Handles, upper/lower same depth separated with molding
Built into the wall - possible to use space in the stair wall to increase depth of cabs
Create a wall on left side of cabs so shallow cabinets appear built into the wall like a china cabinet so it is not obvious from the side how narrow the space is - will lose 4" of width tho
Counter edge to separate top and bottom, glass cabs on top - maybe higher and shorter? Unlikely to use for decorative dishware
Possible on end of shallow cabs
"Bracket" connecting uppers and lowers on hutch or full length cabs?
Shallow Cabs off the floor with furniture legs - Instead of toe kick
Buffet or Hutch Style rather than floor to ceiling cabs? Center cab on upper is deeper, off the floor with legs, beadboard back rather than matching backsplash or only wall for back
Drawers in upper - adds detail/interest, like handles rather than knobs
Beadboard between uppers and lowers
Don't like "wall" of cab doors
Mix of drawers and cabs on back wall, creates a hutch/buffet design
Why this design less appealing - knobs? no glass? Prefer Base with furniture leg
Could TV be hidden in shallow cabs? Can't see from window seat and behind stools
Upper Cabinets on left - mix of glass, doors and drawers, beadboard
Buffet without side extensions, decorative panelled back??
