Drip Cap
A drip cap keeps rain and other water from dripping down onto your windows
A drip cap is a feature on the outside of a window, positioned at the top of the window. It extends outward and is designed to channel water away from the window; water follows the contour of the drip cap, then drips off the outer edge.
The drip cap in this illustration is merely an extended piece of flashing that is bent downward.
Drip caps can be seamlessly incorporated into window architecture.
The drip cap here is finished expertly and is barely noticeable.
