I told myself I wasn’t going with subway tiles, but after hours of getting many samples, coming home and matching to my countertop in my lighting i ended up with the timeless subway tilesI have absolutely no regrets! The tiler used a white grout that didnt let the tile stand out as much and cause my countertop to shine. I didn’t want anything to compete with my countertop. If you have very good natural light and you want contrast, then you could go with a grey backsplash. It would be best to stick with one colour backsplash since your countertop is multicoloured.
It’s best to use ceramic or porcelain tiles because natural stone tiles will show up your countertop as the manmade material as it is. Best of luck and hope this helps. Let me know what you end up with
