Virginia's...is this your property? These hydrangeas are lovely! You actually cut them back that far down and they come back that large?
The newer hydrangeas...The Endless Summer ones bloom on new and old wood and they generally will bloom all summer long. Every variety is different and they are by far my favorite plant. I adore the blooms, from mop head to lace caps, and I enjoy playing with the color a bit! I'm wanting to make some of them a deeper purple now! This is my front garden that was all newly planted at the end of last summer. There are so many areas of my yard we are working on and I am thrilled how this can it as a first year garden...can't wait to tackle the rest...just need my husband to tear out more over grown shrubs like the ones that were where these are now.
