I was wondering about you and sent a hello (a couple of months back) by way of an old thread. Good to see you!
Have you identified what type of mite you're dealing with? There are soo many miticide products available, many of them far more expensive than most hobby growers are willing to pay. What does work well is Water:70% rubbing alcohol at 2:1 respectively. A few drops of insecticidal soap in a quart spritzer helps to make the solution wetter so it gets into cracks/crevices where they hide. It is a contact insecticide, so be sure to cover the entire plant at 4-day intervals.
Take care.
