To Stevebudosh: Installation will be much less than tile, which is much more labor intensive. If your floors are level (within 3/16 of an inch per 10 foot radius) it shouldn't be expensive and you could probably have a trusted, experienced handyman do the job. I am very lucky to have such a person and I so appreciate everything he can do. I pulled a permit as an owner-builder for a structural engineering remodel (so no licensed contractor involved). We tore down walls, removed wetbars, etc, and put up a 24'x16"x6" parallam beam to open up my entire living area and make it open-concept. I was apprehensive about getting through the inspections without a LC, because the inspectors can be very picky if you don't have one. I am so happy to report that we got through rough inspection, corrections, and Final Inspection in 3 days! Dante rocks!!! And he got all of this done in less than 4 weeks. Amazing!
Back to Coretec: They do recommend putting down a moisture barrier between a concrete subfloor and cortex, but that doesn't add much to the cost.

Hope this helps!
