Our Cabin...Design Thoughts, 2018... and Implementation...
And I'd prefer drawers to lower cabinets...
Best knife storage option I've seen...
This is nice construction detail on this banquette seating unit...
This is what I want for seating in the dining nook...
This is the sink we actually have for the bathroom...with the same faucets as well...
Here we go...Note the cabinets around the refrigerator here...
Put knife edge linen cushions on the sofas and banquettes...
We need some sort of simple surround and hearth for the wood stove...and ultimately, a new stove as well...
We currently have this table. I'd like to add a drawer and a lower shelf to it to use it as an island in the kitchen.
This is the coffee table I have...if there turns out to be space to utilize it...
Here's the preferred style for banquette seating again...and the color is good as well, but it needs bleached wood legs...
We'll have to do built-in sofas and bookshelves in the living room...very much like this.
And for my bedroom...
What about putting the bedroom doors in front of bookshelves like this, instead of behind them?
Shelf and towel rack for bathroom?
For "guest" bedroom closet...
Option for pantry cabinet?
This should be a workable concept for the dining nook...
An area like this off the back deck could be done...
I wonder if it would be possible to do some sort of woodstove surround and chimney along these lines?
For the bathroom and kitchen expansions...
This is the tile we are using for the shower floor in the main cabin bathroom...American Olean "Refined White" Real Stone, Irregular Mosaic obtained from Lowe's...it is being paired with Ivetta White Porcelain 12" x 12" tile on the shower walls and bathroom floor...also from Lowe's.
This is the Ivetta White Porcelain tile. It looks much "creamier" in this photo, but it is actually more white with grey (see next photo) and an occasional taupey brown tone...looks very much like natural stone and with texture that keeps it from being slick on a kitchen or bath floor...we will have it on both.
This is more what the Ivetta white tile actually looks like, but this photo is still darker than the tile truly is...think somewhere between these two photos so that it actually goes quite well with the American Olean mosaic stone tile previously shown.
Doing a stacked laundry unit and Water Heater Closet on an end wall will be a necessity, so this kind of door arrangement looks workable.
