While I can see how it makes sense to put the TV on the big wall, I think it’s going to be really annoying with that being the main traffic path. The family will be constantly walking (and running, and jumping...) in front of it. If you play any active video games that require you to dance etc, the TV will not be in an ideal location there. Not to mention that it will be directly across from all those windows, which will be super annoying when the TV is on in the daytime with the reflection / glare. While I don’t think you had construction in mind, I think your best bet is on the fireplace wall. I would suggest drywalling in the top portion of the fireplace that is closest to the window and recessing an offset TV into that space (to the right of the fire but higher that it). For the opposite upper side of the fire I would do open shelving in a dark stain, perhaps with a bit of a rusticity to them. You would see the shelves from both the family room and the dining room. I would paint all the drywall on that fireplace wall in a richer, darker colour so that the TV doesn’t scream at you. For the dining side I would suggest doing built-ins in those niches. Otherwise they’re pretty much useless, but with so much potential. You can gain a lot of storage there! I would do a mix of drawers and doors. Do them in the same dark wood as the open shelves above. I would do a couple of chairs close to your traffic path, facing the window, and the sofa facing the fireplace. For your electronic components you could either work them into the design of the fireplace wall or do a console under the windows. A nice big ottoman in the centre, an area rug encompassing the entire sitting area, and a sofa table behind the couch. A small round table between the two chairs. Make the large wall a gallery wall and the wall leading to the bathroom hang a large canvas piece that picks up on the colours of your furniture. While this photo doesn’t completely illustrate what I’m talking about, it does give you an idea.
