10. Classic Cape Cod
There’s nothing quite like falling asleep with the sound of the water lapping against the shore, so it’s easy to dream about curling up in this waterfront bedroom on Cape Cod. Beadboard walls, wicker furniture and blue-and-white stripes are classic touches that have stood the test of time in the popular Massachusetts beach destination.

9. Urbane and Soft
The soft neutral palette of this sophisticated contemporary bedroom in Toronto by Meg Cassidy Creative allows a few key pieces to stand out in a quiet way. The tall, dark headboard and antiqued mirrors force the eye up to the stunning handblown glass chandelier.

8. Inviting Minimalism
There’s something cozy and inviting about this rather spartan attic room. I believe clutter in the bedroom impedes the onset of sleep, and it seems many Houzz users agree.
The designers at TR Design-Build Firm crafted built-in beds and a nightstand ledge over ductwork to save precious inches in this compact space, which has a lofted treehouse feel thanks to the three generous windows.

7. Beachy Chic
Is there anything better than being able to walk right outside your bedroom to greet chirping birds and enjoy a cup of coffee? That would certainly be the appeal of this bedroom designed by Austin Patterson Disston Architects. The plush comforter, rustic ceiling beams and Shabby Chic-style armchairs might keep you inside for a bit longer, though.

6. Light and Classic
This bedroom is in a 1920s Mediterranean-style house in San Francisco with well-preserved exterior details. To bring back some of that classic character inside that was erased during past remodels, architect Darcy Tsung adorned the bedroom walls with picture molding. An upholstered headboard, custom bedding and a wool area rug add soft textures, while antique tables used as nightstands and an Art Deco-inspired ceiling light suit the home’s vintage style.

5. Comfy Bedding
A big, cushy European-style duvet can add just the right bit of rumpled comfort to an otherwise perfectly tailored room. The mix of modern doors and traditional moldings provide the bones for this transitional bedroom, which enjoys the luxury of a fireplace and expansive views of Long Island Sound.

4. Cozy Contrast
A dark wood-planked accent wall lit by a soffit overhead, a French barn door and warm wood floors take this bedroom from a stark white box to an enticing spot to spend the night.

3. Glam Yet Soft
The way the designers at Hallmark Interior Design used animal prints, a crystal chandelier, a faux fur throw and a hanging bench in a soft and subtle palette of beiges, blushes and champagnes is pure elegance with just the right amount of glam.

2. Scandinavian Simplicity
The organic style of this relatively sparse bedroom by TREE makes it warm and welcoming. A limited color palette in soft whites and grays allows all the beautiful wood on the door, headboard, floor and nightstands to stand out.

1. Architectural Boldness
The floor-to-ceiling steel-framed doors and windows between this master bedroom and bathroom by Purcell had many Houzz users taking notes. While past comments have shown that Americans are often shy about a clear view through to the tub, this stunning architectural statement in Kent, England, appears to be changing minds.

Thank you!
I love the light, airy palettes, but with a patio and garden right outside my MBR, I would be constantly batting leaves/dirt being tracked in. A slightly more 'earthy' color scheme makes it less conspicuous -- ha ha.
They are all beautiful however it is now 2021 so why look back at 2019?
