Paint the window inside casing the beige first to tie in windows. Install faux wood blinds in white and then install/paint your white trim. The darker color/beige will appear as a shadow, few people will ever notice the (dark white) beige.

A one by six will give you a GREAT baseboard. It needs nothing and the "thickness" wiill be 3/4 of an inch. There is NOTHING wrong with mdf. Scribe to the floor and you don't even need a shoe molding. A complementary door casing/window casing in a 1 x 4 with backer is lovely. Clean..........and simple
