I don't check here often, and OP has probably purchased by now, but in case someone else has this question, here's my 2 cents. I sell furniture, and used to sell Canadel. I have a Canadel set in my house. My advice - you can do better and pay less.
I know there are a lot of happy Canadel customers, but their product doesn't hold a candle to Saloom, which is about the same price, American made, solid maple (not birch). I'm replacing my Canadel with Saloom.
To spend less with the same quality, look at Shermag. Canadel is a marketing machine, and you're paying for that.
