@Anna it’s not a no go in a small space but it will make it feel tighter than in a larger room. balancing it out with lighter flooring and rugs can make a striking statement, but it’s your call. I like color, even in tiny spaces, and find white was to be very bland without a lot of molding and texture (or signifxant quantities of art!), but you know yourself and home best.
Virgil isn’t wrong though, if the lighting isn’t good or the room already feels closed off the dark colors might be too strong unless you’re wanting to create a sheltered, cozy feel with entry. It just depends.
