Nancyjane, I have both an Instapot and a stove top pressure cooker. If I could only keep one, I'd keep the stove top PC. It heats up faster and, because it reaches higher pressure, cooks faster. The Instapot works well for making yogurt and as a slow cooker. I gave my old slow cooker away because it had a ceramic liner and I like being able to sauté.
