I got my kitchen remodeled and had MSI- Calacatta Vicenza for the countertop & island one month ago. I am annoyed by the relatively sandy or sticky surface despite the look is very pretty clean. This Q stone was introduced by the kitchen remodel service near my residency, saying MSI offers 25 year warranty versus other company of 15 year warranty. The sample did not feel anything rough at all. Because of the constant sticky and relatively sandy surface, although somewhat better after more than 3 times of daily clean for a month, I finally went to MSI to take a look the product. I wish I did this before I select the Q stone. I now know that Calacatta Vicenza is made from China , without Breton technology, the surface is less smooth nor polished like Cashmere Carrara that is from Turkey with Breton technology. My counter top Q stone also shows some tiny darker spots that were able to be removed or faded after I cleaned with the lotion suggested by MSI salesman; the dye inside the stone can be removed after repeated clean is a big concern suggesting this Q stone is not well done the surface at all. Also , the island piece shows a finger sized surface defect without polish at all. I do not advise to get this Q stone for sure. I am debating with MSI to replace to different Q stone like Cashmere Carrara with only a few hundred dollars more per slot. MSI- Q stones do carry different quality as noted in reviewers, to see the actual or large piece of Q stone before the decision is critical.
